Understanding the Claim Details Section

Your claim's home base — four tabs covering claim info, policy details, carrier details, and contacts, all with inline auto-save editing.

Overview

The Claim Details page organizes all your claim information across four tabs:

  1. Claim Info — Core claim data (claim number, dates, peril, status)

  2. Policy Details — Insurance policy information and coverage

  3. Carrier Details — Insurance company contact information

  4. Claim Contacts — People involved in the claim

Tab 1: Claim Info

Metric cards at top: Claim Number, Date of Loss, Peril, Status.

Editable sections:

  • Claim Number, Policy Number, Status, Description

  • Date of Loss, Time of Loss, Date Claim Filed

  • Peril (color-coded: red=hurricane/wind, orange=fire, blue=water/flood, purple=hail)

Tab 2: Policy Details

  • Policy Number, Policy Type, Effective Dates

  • Coverages — Coverage types and dollar values (e.g., Dwelling: $350,000)

  • Deductibles — Deductible types and amounts

Tab 3: Carrier Details

  • Carrier Name, Email, Phone, Fax, Website, Claims Portal URL

  • Address (Street, City, State, ZIP)

  • AM Best Rating, NAIC Number, License Number

Tab 4: Claim Contacts

You can add, edit, star (primary), and delete contacts.

How Editing Works

Brelly uses inline auto-save: Click Edit → type changes → click away or press Enter → saved automatically. Visual feedback: spinner = saving, checkmark = saved.
