Use Guided Setup to Kickstart Your Claim

Auto-create a new claim by uploading documents and letting Brelly Co-Pilot extract claim details, policy info, and contacts — plus review your claim strategy and next steps.

Guided Setup helps you start a new claim quickly. Just uploading your documents and let Brelly Co-Pilot fill in the first round of claim details for you.

(If you prefer to start with a blank project and enter everything yourself, use Quick Create instead.)

Where to Find It

To start Guided Setup:

  1. Click the New Claim button in the top bar

  2. Choose Guided Setup

You will then move through the setup flow step by step.

What Guided Setup Does

Guided Setup is designed to help you:

  • Create a new claim project

  • Add background context about the claim

  • Upload claim documents

  • Let Brelly process those files in the background

  • Open a ready Co-Pilot claim analysis thread when setup is complete

Step 1: Name Your Claim Project

Start by entering a claim project name.

Choose a clear name you will recognize later, such as the insured name, property address, claim number, or a short description of the claim. Different organizations do this differently, but most have a standardized method.

Step 2: Add Claim Context

This step is optional.

Use it to tell Brelly anything important before document analysis starts. For example:

  • What happened

  • What stage the claim is in

  • What issue matters most right now

  • Any questions you already want Co-Pilot to help with

You can type your notes, or use voice input to record a quick message.

Anything you input here will be saved as a Note in your claim for you to reference later as well.

Step 3: Upload Documents

Upload the documents you want Brelly to analyze for this claim. Easy.

Step 4: Let Brelly Process the Claim

After you continue, Brelly starts working through the uploaded files in stages:

  1. Upload the files

  2. Parse the documents to AI can understand them

  3. Analyze the claim details

This usually takes a few minutes and sometimes longer depending on the file batch.

You Can Leave While Guided Setup Runs

You do not have to stay on the Guided Setup page the whole time.

If you leave, Brelly keeps working in the background. You can continue using the app while setup finishes.

When the claim analysis is ready, you will see a notification that the claim is ready for review.

Step 5: Open Claim Analysis

When processing finishes, Guided Setup shows a summary of what Brelly found.

Depending on the documents you uploaded, Brelly may fill in or organize items such as:

  • Claim details

  • Policy details

  • Property information

  • Contacts

  • Timeline events

From the final step, click Let's Go to open the Brelly Co-Pilot claim analysis thread and continue working with the help of AI.

If Guided Setup Needs Attention

Sometimes a file batch may need help before setup can finish.

If that happens, Guided Setup will tell you what needs attention and show the next action.

If only part of the upload works, Brelly may continue with the files that are ready and let you retry the rest later.

Tips

  • Use Guided Setup when you already have claim documents ready to upload.

  • Add claim context if there is background information that may not appear clearly in the documents, even if it is just a quick sentence or two.

  • If you want to work manually from the start, choose Quick Create instead.
