Sharing a Claim with Claim Portal

Invite policyholders or claim professionals into one Brelly claim, choose what they can access, and understand what they see in Claim Portal.

Brelly Claim Sharing lets you invite someone into one claim without giving them access to your full workspace.

You can use Claim Sharing when a policyholder, contractor, public adjuster, attorney, or other claim professional needs a focused place to review claim information and ask questions.

What invited users can do

When you share a claim, the invited person gets access to Claim Portal for that claim.

You choose how much they can do by picking one access level:

  • View Only — they can see the claim details shared with them, but cannot add or change anything.

  • View, Create, Upload — they can also fill in blank claim fields and upload files.

  • View, Create, Upload, Edit — they can also edit existing claim details.

  • View, Create, Upload, Edit, Invite — they can also invite other people into the claim.

There is also a Share all claim notes option you can turn on if you want the invited person to see the claim's notes.

Whichever level you choose, invited users can view the claim timeline and ask Brelly Co-Pilot questions about the claim from their own account. They do not get access to your full workspace or other claims.

Private chats stay private

Invited users see their own Co-Pilot chats, not yours.

This means:

  • Your private Co-Pilot threads stay private

  • Their Co-Pilot questions and answers belong to their own account

  • Each person can ask questions from their own role and point of view

How to share a claim

  1. Open the claim you want to share.

  2. Go to the Sharing tab.

  3. Select Invite others to this claim.

  4. Enter the person's email address and choose their role (Policyholder, Contractor, Public Adjuster, or Attorney).

  5. Choose the access level that fits what they need to do.

  6. Send the invite.

The invited person will receive an email. They can follow the link, sign in, accept any required terms, and open the shared claim.

When to use Claim Portal

Claim Portal is helpful when someone needs claim access but does not need your full Brelly workspace.

Common examples include:

  • A policyholder wants to ask questions about their own claim

  • A contractor wants to share claim details with a customer

  • A claim professional needs to review a specific claim

  • A team member needs limited access to one claim

Before you invite someone

Only invite people who should have access to that claim.

Before sending an invite, check:

  • The email address is correct

  • The claim is the right one

  • The access level matches what the person needs

  • Any sensitive files or notes are appropriate for that person to see
